elaborate and delightful six-course
dinner Thanksgiving, complimentary
to her relatives. Mr. W. P. Wade
acted as toastmaster and the enter
tainers who contributed to the pleas
ure of the guests were Mrs. Belle
Caston, Mr. M. Price, Miss Bernice
Bastes and Mrs. D. Thomas. The
guests present were Mr. and Mrs.
W. P. Wade, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas
Payne, Mesdames W. F. Ricketts,
Beulah Bates, A. Bentley, Belle Cas
ton, D. Thomas, King, Helen Thom
as, the Misses Bernice Bastes, Fran
ces Caston, Lorain and Louise
Fletcher, Messrs. R. Price, Marvin
Price, William Parker, and McCoy
and Master Edward Fletcher.
THE OLD FOLKS HOME
The Rev. T. B. Orville, pastor of
Grove M. E. church preached for
the inmates of the home Sunday af
ternoon. The sermon was enjoyed
by all and we desire to express our
appreciation to the preacher.
Donations to the Home during
November were as follows: Mrs.
Duff, 16 jars of fruit; Mrs. Strow
der, 6 jars of fruit; Mrs. Turner,
a basket of fruit; Mrs. Anna Bur
ton, 6 pairs of curtains and a blan
ket; Rev. H. W. Botts and Mrs. T.
J. Wright of Lincoln, a beautiful
design of roses.
Mrs. Elisa West of Lincoln is an
inmate of the Home.
Persons wishing to give Christmas
gifts for the inmates please see
that they are delivered by December
24th.
