CHILD KILLED BY AUTOMOBILE Frankie A., the 4-year-old daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Millan, of Patrick avenue, was killed by an automobile driven by Mr. Van Sant at Twenty-fourth and Patrick avenue late Saturday afternoon. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon, the Rev. W. F. Botts officiating. WILL CELEBRATE SILVER ANNIVERSARY Congregation of Grove Methodist Episcopal Church Planning to Ob serve Twenty-fifth Anniversary of ( Pastor’s Ordination. Sunday, March 2, will mark the twenty-fifth anniversary of the ordi nation of the Rev. Griffin G. Logan, D. D., pastor of Grove Methodist Epis copal church. The congregation which he has served so faithfully for the past five years, assisted by Dr. Log an’s many friends outside of the church, are plan.vng to fittingly ob serve the anniversary by a series of appropriate services beginning Sun day, March 2, and continuing through out the week. A financial effort will be made at that time to raise an ade quate sum to pay the deficit in the pastor’s salary, the conference as sessments and trustee's accounts. At half past 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon, March 2, Mayor Smith will deliver an address and Perkins’ orchestra will furnish music. The N. A. A. C. P. will be present at that time. Dr. Logan during his twenty-five years in the ministry has filled im portant educational positions and pas torates in his church chiefly in the south. He came to Omaha from Mis sissippi five years ago to serve a small struggling congregation. He" has had a hard, uphill pull, but has made good. He laid foundations that will endure. Not only his own congre gation, but the people of the com munity should show their apprecia tion of his self-sacrificing work.
