E. and St. John’3 A. M. E. Churches was held Thursday at Manawa. The chartered cars left 18th and Burt streets about 11 o’clock. Fully 300 people attended. MANY ATTEND THE FUNERAL OF THE LATE JOHN GRANT PEGG Between 1,000 and 1,200 people were present last Sunday at the funeral : of the late John Grant Pegg, inspec tor of weights and measures, who died suddenly at his home Thursday, Au gust 3rd. The Masons conducted the funeral, as Mr. Pegg was a thirty second degree Mason, according to their ritual. The Rev. W. T. Osborne preached a remarkable sermon. The interment was at Forest Lawn Ceme tery. Jones and Chiles conducted the funeral. The pallbearers were: Messrs. Glover, Camel, Warner, Hun ter, Robinson and Edmonds. GRAND LODGE OF U. B.
