KC-- - '?: The Hawthorne society of the Lincoln high school was founded about seven years ago. During the first four years of its existence it was a literary society. Books were reviewed and programs given weekly, but now it is strictly a social organization. Numerous parties have been given at the homes of the members, where great amusement Is al ways afforded. A business meeting is held every Monday in one of the high school rooms, where the following offi cers preside: President, Alice Auld; vice-president. Silence Stewart; secretary, Jessie Mosh er; treasurer, Georgia Field; sergeant-at-arms, Grace White. Jolly times for the society are antici pated during the holidays. The active members of the society are: Hazel Van- denburg, Mary Minor, Mabel Williams, Madge Wilson, Edith Wilson. Grace Meeker, Louise Hoover, Claire Canom, Silence Stuart, Georgia Field, Alice Auld, Llla Le Gore, Grace White, Mabel States.
