Notice of Incorporation.
First Publication Oct. 6.
Notice is hereby given of the incor
poration under the laws of this state of
an association, the name of which is
Harris & Company, and the principal
place of transaction of business of which
is at the city of Lincoln in Lancaster
County, Nebraska, and the general
nature of the business to be transacted
by which is the buying, selling, forward
ing of and general dealing in grain, the
buying, selling, owning, leasing and
operation of elevators, cribs and other
property, machinery and appliances
necessary or proper to j& owned, occu
pied or used in and about the handling
of grain, and buying nulling, owning, and
leasing of real estct?. .., '.h improved and
unimproved.
The amount of the capital stock of
said incorporation It a"Q,000, which was
fully paid in at thi '- f incorporation.
The time of the commencement of said
incorporation wa tb nsth day of Sep
tember, 1894, and thb brae of its termi
nation will be the 25th day of Septem
ber, 1914, and the highest amount of
indebtedness or liability to which said
corporation can at any time subject it
self is 890,000. The affairs of said incor
loration are to be condi cted by a board
of four directors, who are required to.
appoint from amorp. tu"ir own numher,
a president, and may also choose a vice
president. And they are also required
to appoint a secretary and treasurer,
which two last named offices may be
conferred upon the same person ;and the
president is to be also general manager
of the corporation.
The articles of incorporation of Baiil
association were adopted on the 25th
day of September, 1891, and were tiled
in the office of the clerk of Lancaster
County, Nebraska, on the 26th day of
September, 1891,at 9 o'clock and 20 min
utes a. in., recorded in book C of Incor
porations at page 139.

You are hereby notified that an instru
ment purporting to be the last will and
testament of John H. Meyer deceased,
is on file in said court and also a petition
praying for the probate of said instru
ment, and for the appointment of John
J. Meyer and Henry J. Meyer as execu
tors. That on the 3rd day of December,
1891, at 10 o'clock a. m., said petition
and the proof of tho execution of said
instrument will be heard, and that if
you not then appear and contest, said
court may probate and record the same,
and grant administration of tho estate to
John J. and Henry J. Meyer. This
notice shall be published for three
weeks successively in The Courier
prior to said hearing.

take notice that on tho 8th day of No
vember 1891, Sarah Johnson, tho plaintitT
herein, filed ho petition in the District
court of Lancaster county, Nebraska,
the object and prayer of which is to
obtain a decreo of divorco from tho de
fendant, and for the custody of their
minor child, Arthur Leroy Johnson,
out lie following grounds;
First That the defendant wilfully
deserted the plaintitT on tho .'10th day of
June 1891, and has ever since that date
cruelly, wilfully aud wantonly refused
and neglected to provide a suitablo
maintenance for the plaintiff, although
being of sufficient ability to do so.
Second-That in the month of Decem
ber 1892, the defendant committed adul
tery with a woman unknown to the
plaintiff, in a brick block on Ninth
street between "N"' and "M in the city
of Lincoln, Lancaster county, Nebraska.
And that the defendant is z. fugitive
from justice from the city of Lincoln,
complaint beiag made against him for
the embezzlement of money from the
Clarkson Laundry company.
You are required to answer said peti
tion on or before tho 17th day of Dec
ember, 1891.
