Team Hasn't
Been Blanked
In 231 Games
Minneapolis June U. The Minne
apolis American association club to
day, entered its game with Colum
bus at the latter city with its record
of not having been shut out run up
to 231 garnet. The Millers reached
that mark in the contest .with the
Senators yeiterday. (
Minneapolis recently established
what was said to he a world's record
when it pasted 200 garnet without
having been blanked.
The last American ' nioqation
pitcher to let the Millers down with
out a tally was Ren.Tineup, Indian
slab . artist, with the Louisville
Colonels, who turned the trick in
August, 1920.
Recently the local club has had
some close calls. In the. past few
weeks Dick Wade, Miller center
fielder, has saved the team's record
with timely bingles, on at least four
occasions driving the lone run needed
to prevent a shutout. 1
