A noted breeder who is here to race
a small but select string of runners at
the coming meeting is B. A. Jones of
Farnell.Mo. He is here with Mark De
nunzio and Carlos Enrique. The for
mer was one of the most consistent
horses racing at Havana last win
ter and although starting but six
times, he scored brackets four times
in a row. His speed was amazinx
while racing over a route. In his
last start on Cuban soil he opened
up a huge gap on a good field of
horses and at the end of his mile
and a sixteenth journey was twelve
lengths to the good.
Jones isthe proud owner of the
succesful sire. Seth, who is the dad
dy of Ikey T. one of the truest run-
nine sprinters that will be seen in
action a the Ak-Sar-Ben track. He
also produced the speedy 2-year-old
Lorena Marcella, which won ' lour
consecutive victories over the best
youngsters that raced at Havana.
The Jones breeding establishment
at rarnell is one ot the show places
f that section of the country. It is
the last word in appointment and
contains eighteen matrons of royal
blood lines. Jones reports that he
