Lincoln, May l5. Lincoln dedi
cated " its new baseball park this
afternoon; filled it to the brim and,
incidentally, won the opening game
of the Nebraska State league season
here by defeating Norfolk by a score
of 10 to 7.
Free hitting and errors along the
same line marked the battle. Lin
coln apparently had the game sewed
up until the fifth inning, when Nor
folk started a batting rally v which
continued with a considerable degree
of intensity until the visitors had
tied the score in their half of the
eighth. Then the locals got their
eye on the ball and batted out three
runs. Score:

Daily at Polo Grounds.
Both the Bambino and Meusel are
anxious to get back into the game,
Ruth has been so sick of it all that
he couldn't stand or sit to see the
Yankees in a came without him, and
by way of diversion has spent a few
afternoons at the Jamaica race track.
Meusel, less sentimental, has spent
the afternoons in the grandstand
learning and suffering.
The two have been practicing daily
at the Polo grounds before a wor
