Entire Lions Club
Joins Concert Club
The power and influence of music!
were demonstrated yesterday when
George V. Campbell, chairman of
the City Concert club membership
committee, introduced a new sons
hook at the Lions club luncheon and
immediately signed up the members
of the Lions organizations in the mu
sical association, 100 per cent strong.
The Association Male chorus of
.16 voices also has joined the Con
cert chit as individual members, and
under the leadership of the presi
dent, C. A. Gcarish. is working, to
make the Concert club membership
drive a success.
"The Association Male chorus
stands ready to back the work of
the City Concert club to the limit."
Mr. Gcarish said. "The Concert
club is doing1 a wonderful work hi
furnishing music to the city and is
deserving the support of every per
son in Omaha."
While no figures were available
yesterday, it was stated by those in
charge of the drive that they were
meeting with an enthusiastic recep
tion and that the campaign would
he "over the top" by the end of the
week. The Concert club is seeking
5,000 members to finance the work
for the coming year!
