That of the Apostolic Holiness branch covers several years. The increase of the Protestant Episcopal church is 5,768, which is rather under its usual gain. The United Brethren in Christ makes an advance of 13,245 and the Kvangclical association and United livangelical church of 4,617. Many Mormon Ministers. The number of ministers reported in connection .with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Mornian, 4,718, is abnormally large, averaging: more than four to each church. The Thcosophical society docs not appear this year in the list of re ligions. It has upward of 54,000 members under the leadership of Madame Kathenne iingley, Point church submitted a statement of 103,421 membership, without mentioning its . increase. This group has 406 churches. The grand total is now 43,523,206". In 1911 it was 36,095,685. There has accordingly been a net gain in the 10 years of 7,427,521, which is at the rate of 742,752 a year, or somewhat more than 2 per cent. This is a low rate, but the period covers the years of the great war. The total of ministers, 191,414, shows an increase of 1,791, absorbed largely by the Roman Catholic (hurch, 316; the Dunkard Brethren, 214; the Lutheran group, 350; the Methodist group, 529; the Pente costal churches, 220; the Salvation Army, 810, and the Utah Latter Day Saints 69. The aggregate of churches, 230, 572, shows a small increase, 88, in place of a decrease in the previous year of 1,030. The Methodist group loses 268, the Lutheran, 132; the Presbyterian, 26; the United Breth ren, 39; the Protestant Episcopal church, 38, and so on. The Advent ists lose 73 and the Disciples of Christ, 132. The chief gains are of the Roman Catholic church, 122, and the Pentecostal bodies, 371. Uni School if Oratory Plans Extensive Program The school of oratory of the Uni versity of Omafla, under direction of Dr. V. Gilbert James, dean of the college, announces an extensive pro- pram tor the closing months of the chool year. Courses in public speaking, dra matic art and individual instruction are given as the oratory department features.
