movements continued generally steady
early today, with the Hat apparently very
little Influenced by the outside political
situation, which led to only scattered
long liquidation which, all things con
sidered, wss well absorbed. Prires were
narrowly irregular at the outset, 3 points
better than Saturdaay to 3 points lower,
but'before the end of the second hour
the list wss some 10 to 15 points net
higher. Wall street shorts, Liverpool and
Japanese Interests sll buying.
Toward the middle of the day the
market was steady and quiet to I points
not higher than Saturday.
Increased selling developed in th last
hour, the market easing off into new
low ground for the day at a net loss of
19 to SS points on active options. Final
bids wers around the low.
