Urge Reduction in Cost
of New Technical ScTiool
The tax bureau of the Omaha
Real Estate board is seeking a large
turtailmrnt of expense in the new
Technical High school now tmdrr
construction. The board believes
that from $500,000 to fl.000,000 can
be saved by eliminating a number of
expensive features. Members of the
bureau were of the opinion that it
will be necessary to erect new pri
mary schools in the near future for
which funds will be needed.
Would Issue Bonds to Build
Additions to Court House
County Commissioner Unitt said
yesterday he will propose to the
board of commissioners that a $1.
000,000 bond issue be asked to build
additions to the courthouse.
The street floor of the addition
would be given over to stores to be
rented to merchants. The rental
would be sufficient, he said, to pay
interest on the investment and pro
vide a sinking fund to dispose of the
principal.
