the highest scholarship award at
Harvard university, according to a
news dispatch from the east yester
day. He is the son of Mr. and

Schools Dismissed The spirit of
the holidays pervaded , the, public
schools yesterday, when 30,000
school children and more than 1,000
teachers were dismissed for the
Christmas holiday season, which
ends January 3. '
