Outside of a few loads the quality of the offering was rather common, and west ern grass cattle outnumbered the native varieties. In general demand for th de sirable beef steers and cows was fairly ac tive and prices fully steady, while on me. dlum and common stuff of all kinds trade was slow and trend of values lower. Some choice long yearlings brought $18.00, and there were no prime heavy cattle on sale. Best sleers are quotably 1525o higher than a week ago, and common to fair steer and cows fully that much lower than last week. Business in stockers and feeders was rather quiet, with good, fleshy kinds firmly h!d and ordinary lightweight tuff hard to move at lower prices.
