rather liberal run of cattlej 11,500 head, as
compared with 8.788 head on last Monday
and 8.396 head on the corresponding Mon
day hist year. Quality of the offering was
good as a rule and with an active demand
from both packers and shippers the mar
ket was lively and price steady to strong
all around. Some ot the more desirable
beeves selling at $16.00 16.26 looked 15iif
25c higher than last wek. Cow and heif
ers were at very good demand at steady to
strong prices and trading was active at
anything at all desirable In the wsy of
killing stock. Stocker. and feeder showed
no particular change, the good fleshy

to 14 cent and provision 6 to 15 cent.
Notwithstanding rallies due to profit
taking by shorts, the corn market averaged
derldedly lower, the greater part of the
day. In addition to the liberal supplies
which crowded the sample table, country
advice of shipment appeared to Indicate
a' continued fro movement to terminal
markets. Tke fact that Toledo w (ending
more corn to Chicago attached eepaclal
notice, although It was aald th arrival her
enme from all the big shipping state, and
even Included quantltlo from Colorado
and Tennessee. Another bearish Influenc
