Hoover, Food Adminis trator, a Food Training Camp has been estab lished at tHe, Nebraska -State Fair for the pur pose of teaching effici ency in handling food stuffs. The work will be in charge of a corps V . of food experts-rpeople who have made food v study their life work; Theory and practical demonstrations will teach facts that Have been only elicited after years of scientific study. Elimination of waste ' and the substitution for scarcefoodsof plentiful, but no less palatable,, foods will 'be the; big lessons taught.' The Best Amusements Ever Shown at the State Fair. Nebraska's Wonderful Exhibits Believing that the best means of increasing food production is by affording producers the best of advantages for studying types and breeds of live stock and varieties of grains,f ruits and vegetables, the State- Fair has scoured the' country for the largest and best ex hibits ever shown. Machinery, .the one thing that can replace the enormous man power to be drawn from a nation already short of labor, will occupy the attention of every thinking person. This exhibit will . be little short of wonderful. Manufactured goods, automobiles, textiles, home products, "Better Babies" --these exhibits comprise aschoolwhich will teach progress, ad- vati c e m e n t, enlighten ment and higher standards of living. On every hand, usefulness and service' to the nation will be the big lessons to be learned. ' A. V- ' . Unsurpassed Amusements Among the amusements 'will be the great Hagen- bach-Wallace Trained Ani mal Circus, regarding the worth of which, as a good, clean amusement, too much cannot be said. This is the biggest - attraction ever booked for the State. Fair and its two performances aily before the. grand itand without the tent will draw tens of thousands of people daily. : Races and "scores of other attractions will hold an appeal for everyone.
