Cornfed beeves were scarce, but offerings Included a few loads of long fed and well finished cattle that sold readily at stronger prices. $13.7514.15, the latter be ing the highest price ever paid here and for that matter as high as cattle ever sold at Ohioago. On the hftlf fat and short fed steers as well as on western rangers the Improvement In prices was more apparent than on the choice cattle, values being all of 60c higher than they were one week ago. fair to good beeves selling at $9.25 10.75 and Mexicans around $7,258.00. Cows and heifers showed fully as much Improvement as beef steers and the gen eral market Is all of 50c higher than It was a week ago. Demand la broader and supplies of 'moderate proportions, so that trade has. shown considerable activity of late. Veal calves, bulls, stags, etc., are quotably unchanged. Demand for Mockers and feeder! has been very active this week and practically all of last week's decline has been recovered. Both stock cattle and feeding steers are selling fully 75c J1.00 higher than a week ag and just at present the demand Is In excess of supplies.
