' 109V, ; tT ... 65 1.800 63U 624 - 63 . hese New Concern Makes 700 Tubs for Butter Per Day and Is Growing The Fowler Lock and Cooperage1 company, which has just begun oper ations in Omaha, is now turning out 700 butter tubs per day, besides a quantity of egg cases and chicken crates. The plan occupies the old Gate City Malt company building at Second street and VVoolworth avenue. This is a three-story brick building, exceptionally well built and now re modeled to suit the needs of the new concern. The structure is 66x140 feet and three stories high. Forty men are employed under the general foreman ship of William A. White, who came here from Kansas City to take charge of the work as foreman. The Fowler Lock and Cooperage company was only recently organized. Alvin F. Haffner is president and manager. John M. Fixa is vice presi dent. M. J. Creevy is secretary and H. L. Ottoineler is treasurer. These four, together with three other stock holders, constitute also the board of directors. This is a Nebraska cor noration capitalized at $99,000. The Alfalfa Butter company 'of Omaha became the cooperage com pany's first customer. This company ordered and received the first , two carloads of butter tubs the company put out. , ,v . ., Hold Sixty-Five Pounds. . White ash is used in the manufac ture of the tubs.. The regulation tub made by this factory is about a sixty' five-pound tub, or rather has capacity for about Sixty-five pounds' of butter.
