Hogs The market was very similar to IPrMav'a nnenlnK oulte a HttlS hi C her, but closing slow with all the advance lost Fresh price appreciation wae reponeu iruiu wines points, and shippers bought quite a few hogs early that were fully 6010c higher. Packers, after getting some hogs little more than steady right at the outset, paid fully 6c higher prices In filling their more ursent orders, .buying some hogs that were as much as 10c higher. Supplies proved to be larger than re quirements again today, snd the result was another sticky weak close. On the last twenty or so loads thu best prices obtainable were no more than steady with yesterday, and the market got worse the farther it went, latest sales made being anyway 10c lower than the good time early In the day, and the weak at yesterday's average. A good many of the hogs left for the close were not of an overly desirable sort, and some of them were still unsold at a late hmir. A BDrtad of S15.25SP15.70 caUKht the bulk ofltbe sales, whila the top was $16.76. Prices are still mostly lOo lower than a week ago as a general thing. From These Omaha Firms Omaha's Cracker Industry Shows Vast Development in Short Time The rapid development of one of Omaha's big and comparatively new industries is accentuated by the an nouncement the past week that the Loose-Wiles Biscuit company at Twelfth and Davenport streets 'is to triple the size and capacity of its pres ent plant. The manufacture of crackers and biscuits in really great volumes is one of the newer industries in Omaha. A number of years ago the National Bis cuit company was manufacturing some of its product here, but has since moved away. The Iten Biscuit company only a few years ago found it necessary to double the size and capacity of its big plant. In 1910 the cracker and cake manu facture in Omaha amounted to only $750,000. Last year it totaled $1,231,534. In the next few years this annual output will be doubled, tripled, and perhaps, quadrupled. In 1909, only eight years ago, the Loose-Wiles Biscuit company built its first Omaha plant. Today the Loose-Wiles company and the Iten Biscuit company are crowded for room, They are using outside storage rooms to hold their product and their raw material. The Loose-Wiles company's plant is a five story building. The two additions to be built will be exact duplicates. The one to the north of the present plant will probably be connected with the old plant by a bridge or closed run way over the alley. These factories have come to Oma ha to stay. f They came where wheat is grown in'abundance, and where the TAFT'S DENTAL ROOMS NEW LOCATION 318 Rose Building 16th and Farnam Sts.
