CREIGHTON IS SHUT OUT Jack Coffey leads his Des Moines Bostcrs into Omalia today for clashes with Pa's hopefuls at Rourke park this afternoon and Sunday. Des Moines is heralding Coffey's i-.rew as pennant winners. The team does look pretty good and ought to put up stiff battles with the kourkes. The hurlers all rank as A No. 1 men. Fleharty comes from Washing ton, Berger is a veteran with a record, Killeen and Kinsey were with Des Moines' last year. The Jackson's Hole Courier, published at Jackson, in the heart of the big game country, is authority for the estimate that Wyoming may lose 16 per cent of its 50,000 wild elk from starvation as a result of the prolonga tion of winter; conditions. The Cour ier says: "The hay supply of the government ranch was exhausted this week and all but a few hundred of the elk have left the feed grounds for the hills. The loss on the feed grounds and their immediate vicinity is estimated at be tween 800 and 1,000 head, the greater per cent being calves. It seems im probable that any calves will sur vive this winter and the men who have closely observed the elk and their condition are estimating a total loss of from 5,000 to 8,000." Don't Experiment with Catarrh; It Often Leads to Dread Consumption You Will Never Be Cured by Local Treatment with Sprays and Douches. Catarrh is a condition of the blood and cannot be cured by local applica tions of sprays and douches; this has been, proven by the thousands who have vainly resorted to this method of treatment. Catarrh should not be neglected or experimented with. The wrong treat ment is , valuable time lost, during which the disease is getting a firmer hold upqu it victims, and .making H. more difficult for. even the proper treatment to accomplish resultsfc Though Catarrh makes its first ap pearance in the nostrils, throat and air passages, the disease becomes more and more aggravated and finally reaches down into the lungs and everyone recognizes the alarming con dition that results when the lungs are affected. Thus Catarrh may be the forerunner of that most dreaded and hopeless of all diseases, consumption. No local treatment affords perma nent relief. Experience has taught that S. S. S. is the one remedy which attacks the disease at its' source, the blood, and produces satisfactory re sults in even, the worst cases, Catarrh sufferers are urged to give Si S. S. a thorough trial.- It is sold by all drug gists. You are invited to write to the medical department for expert advice as to how. to treat your own case.
