The manufac
turers whose
names appear on
this page have
spent more than
$100 each in this
way in the last
twelve months
to tell you about
Omaha factories.
Recently a number of Omaha manu
facturing companies have placed large
blocks of stock on the open mkrket for sale.
Thousands of dollars worth have been taken,
much of it by people living in this city, and in practically
every instance where an established concern has offered
it, the stock has sold at more than 100 cents on the dollar;
What is the meaning of all this? We're glad you asked.
These companies are selling stock because the demand
for their products has compelled them to increase their
capitalizations and operate in bigger ways. Their stocks
are selling readily at a premium because continued rea
sonable dividends have made them good investments.
Omaha has more than 400 such factories, producing al
together nearly a quarter of a billion dollars worth of
goods annually. Every one is the result of a natural
demand, and every one has succeeded because it has pro
duced the highest quality goods to sell at the lowest pos
sible prices. '
These factories last year paid approximately $17,000,000
in wages and salaries to their employees. They represent
an aggregate investment of many millions. The taxes
they pay furnish much of the revenue with which the
city maintains its government, builds parks and boule
vards,;. erects, schools and makes such other necessary
improvements. ; r
The owners of these factories want to make Omaha a
much greater manufacturing center and the plants worth
proportionately more to the city. They would like to in
crease their payrolls, enlarge their operations and pay
more taxes. They can if the demand for their products
increases and their stocks continue to sell at a premium.
You, people of Omaha, who are benefitted directly by the
factory payrolls and the factory taxes, can keep the fac
tory stocks selling at above par. You can do it without
a single sacrifice on your part. Begin, today, by
