18S MAT IRWIN and her com
pany will atay over for an
other performance in Omaha,
and will play at the Boyd this
evening, presenting "S3 Wash
ington Square," tha farce
comedy that made such a hit with Omaha
folks, as well as with all others who
have seen It. The engagement has been
a decided success, and many who wanted
to aee the play were not able to aecure
seata for one of tha prior performances.
It waa thla fact that decided Mlaa Irwin
to remain for the extra date. Wash
ington Square" gives the popular come
dienne the best chance she has had In a
long time for the dlnplay of hr unusual
ability as a genial funmaker. As MU
tilda, the patient housekeeper, who Is In
love with the coachman and hsa to keep
track of the whims ef her ambitious mis
tress, her equally ambitious aon, and a
few others, Miss Irwin is the busy little
person during the entire progress of the
play. The performance this evening will
positively end the atay of the company
at the Boyd.
"Daddy Long-Legs" returns to tha
Brandels theater tomorrow night. Feb
ruary 14, for a farewell engagement.
Notwithstanding the fact that this ap
pealing romantic comedy was offered
here for a half week last season, tha
performances given were not sufficient
to satisfy tha demands of playgoers for
seats. Thla fact, coupled with the an
nouncement that the play is coming back
for the laat time next week, has resulted
tn a heavy demand by mail for reaerva
tiona, and all indications warrant the
prediction that the return engagement
of Jean Webster's play will surpass the
records of the flrat presentation. Since
the original engagement, Henry Miller
has given first honors in the fine acting
organisation to Benee Kelly, who scored
so emphatlo a personal hit here, Mr.
Miller haa relinquished tha rote ha played
for a few weeks In tha west laat season
to Byron Beasley, one of tue best known
young leading men on the Amerioan
stage. Tha other roles ara atlll played
by tha members of. the original company
that Omaha audiences saw laat season.
That rare combination of humor, pathos
and characterisation grouped under tha
name of "Potash ft Perlmutter." will
reach hers Sunday night, February 99,
for a return engagement of four nights
and a Wedneaday matinee, at tha Bran
dels theater.
"Wattfh Tour Step." with Its original
east intact, will coma to Omaha for two
days. It will bo seen at the Brandels
theater, beginning February Tl. Seata

Selwyn ft Company have invented a new
mode of obtaining advance publicity.
They have' a lecturer, .Jeanne Judson,

pany which Florence Roberts Is taking

the principal cities on tha route, and

chronicled. Eddie Foy won great popu
larity In musical shows, and, for several
seasons, with tha aeven little Foya, has
proved one of the most popular features
vaudeville haa claimed. Experience la
developing the little Foya to follow In
the footsteps of their dad. and Eddie Is
