killing frost scheduled for some time dur
ing the next forty-eight hours there Is

The Northwestern'S Nebraska crop re
port for last week paints an attractive
picture of conditions along Its line. Indi
cating that small grain Is practically all
In the stack and that threshing Is well
under way, with cereals ot about the
average quality and the yield something
enormous. Where threshing has been
done, wheat has yielded twenty to as
hlKh aa forty bushels per acre, and oats,
forty to eighty and In a few Instances
as much as 100 bushels, a

corn. At the time of compiling the re
port, the prediction was made that ,
throughout the southern counties of the
state, corn would be out of the way of

raised. If there should be an earlier
frost, the opinion Is expressed that the

Side, was quite seriously Injured when
he was run over by a Roach & Kastner
truck, driven by John Holdors. at Twenty-seventh
and Q streets. Walla was
riding hi bicycle at the time. The
wheel of the truck passed over hi
right shoulder and It la feared that In
