HAY FEVER ON VACATION
City Commissioner Hummel has re
turned from Denver, where he spent his
vacation and a few dollars trying to loso
his hay fever. He d.d not lose his hay
fever.
"I made several Interesting mountain
trip, went over the Denver park and
boulevard system, but the most exciting
experience I had whilo away was a chase
I on a Denver street after a man I mis
took for Commissioner Butler," said Mr.
Hummel.
The park commissioner was sure he
recogn'sed the generous proportions of
Dan Butler meandering along Curtis
reet. Mr. Hummel quickened his pace
nd after a wa'k of two blocks admitted
he was mistaken.
After view ng th duck and geese in
the Denver park ponds, Mr. Hummel
decided he would add this feature to the
Omaha park system.
He also expects to place a cow In one
of the parks as a natural history lesson
for the children.

New Hospital Opens
Doors at Reception
The new Presbyterian Medical hospital
formally opened Its Uoors at a reception
to which nearly a thousand persons were
Invited. Five or six hundred visitor
were received by Mr. and Mr. Robert
McClelland, the owners, and the new
and attractive hospital wa carefully
oxainlned from roof to basement.
Th hospital occupies the old Turnet
residence, near Thirty-fourth and, Fux
nam, which ha been remodeled and en
larged to make room for fifty patient.
The rooms are beautifully furnished in
mahogany and oriental rugs, and all of
the beds are of heavy brass. An adjoin
ing building has been entirely remodele.)

The house wa beautifully decorated
