rather a disappointment to Pa. Rourke, '
ae It waa expected that Omaha would
at least turn out 8. (XXX
Denver walked away with the came,
but only after a tight battle from start
to flnUh. The score waa S to 1.
A aouithpaw person named Mitchell
waa larrely responsible for the repul
sion of our forces. Mr. Mitchell's slants
were of the par excellence variety and
be checked King's men with four - hits,
all of them singles.
Iaajersoll Heaves Good Garnet
On the other hand, Bob Ingersoll, he
of the famous dollar movement, chucked
a pretty good iramo for the Rourkes,
but It waa not up to the standard set
by Mitchell. On earned run was gar
nered off the dollar movement, while
Omaha's run, aided and abetted by an
error by J. Coffey, manager of the hos
tile crew.
Denver counted first In the fourth
frame. Successive doubles by Miller and
McCormlck turned the trick.
In tho home half of the same round
the score waa knotted by our side. Krug
poled a pippin to left and went to sec
ond when Coffey mussed up Krueger's
hard grounder. Manager Marty marked
on Schllebner single to right -

chalked up by the Grizzlies In the sixth
was a sufficiency. Miller beat out an
Infield hit when Schllebner gouged his

stop. McCormlck coaxed a walk and
Miller scooted to third on Galloway's
Infield out. Breen dropped Shields' In
field fly and Miller hiked home, thus
scoring both of the runs for the oppo
sition. In the eighth the Orlizlles were ex
tremely dangerous, making three hits,
but a fast double via Krug, Breen and
Bohllebner nipped the attack In the bud.
Cy Hits In Pinch.
Cyru Forsyth e, well known Tango
Kid. was forced to sit in Idleness In
the dugout during the combat. Cyrus
waa wounded in the last stand at War

Following the game, Joe Stecher, pride
and joy of Doudge county, gave the
2,04.1 a little treat on the side by dump
ing brother Anton In full view of the
populace. He took seventeen minutes
and four seconds to do It. Brother Anton
proved to be an agile chap and he
wiggled and squirmed, thus causing his
brother Jo considerable annoyance be
fore he waa finally subdued.
Joe turned the trick with tha well
known and justly famous scissors and an
arm lock. Anton kept out of the scis
sors as long ae possible, but when Joe
did wrap his powerful pins around him
he merely grinned, quoth "the stuff Is
off," and flopped obediently upon his
back.
Tonight Joe will wrestle the latest of
the Terrible Turk crop at Dee Moines.
As terrible persons, especially Turks, are
