the report that the State league will dis

Base Ball board, says:
"League base ball will be abandoned
after this week and the looal park will
be dismantled unless an effort Is made to

All-Western Tennis
Tourney at Chicago
Jos Adams, one of Omaha's crack ten
nis players, yesterday sent In his entry
to the all-western tennis tournament,
which will be played at lke Forest,
111., In August. Adams will probably be
the only Omahan to enter the western,
as Harry Koch has definitely decided
he cannot spare the time. Art Scrlhncr
may go, but has not made up his mind
yet.
Adams hss also entered the Iowa tour
nament at Des Moines. At Des Moines
Joe will team with Ralph Towell In the
doubles and Omaha tennis enthusiasts
confidently expect this pair to carry away
the double honors, as the famous teams
of Sweet and Bradley and Branson and
Young are broken up. That the Omaha
lads will get In the finals Is practically
certain and It Is hoped thjat they will
be able to win the championship.
At Chicago Adams will not play In the
doubles unless a partner Is secured f'-r
him there. He has asked the mannre-
ment of the tourney to provide him wl'.h
a partner If possible.
