syth, and scored when Kruefer lifted

In the second, Schllebner singled to
center, but was forced out at second by
Thomason. Whalen singled to right and
cored on Blodgett' Ions; sacrifice fly to
Hahn. Whalen was caught stealing".
Holds for Short Tlaae.
Thomaa then allowed but three scat
tered hits In the next four frames. In
the seventh he got In trouble again.
Schltebner opened with his second double
of the game and scored on Thomason'
single to right. Whalen was out when he
waa hit by his own batted ball and Blod
gett and Smith each filed out
One of the fastest double plays ever
witnessed here, ataged by Sawyer, Hart
ford and Jones, retired the visitors In
the third when with one out Breen beat
out an Infield hit. Sawyer's brilliant
top of Forsythe's slashing grounder
started the double play. Two Omaha
men got a life In the eighth. Forsyth
doubled to light off the pitching of
Vandervelde, De Moines' recruit from
Hope college, who mad his first appear
ance In the box, and Kruefer walked.

next on and the gam waa finished.

ing h would move that the English gov
ernment be asked to annex the Island.
He complained that th Isle of Man
could not get needed reforms, and that
