NEBRASKA'S biggest asset is the
South Omaha Live Stock Market
It means more millions to Nebraska than
any other business enterprise.
During 1914 nearly seven million head :'
of live stock, worth $150,000,000, were
handled at the South Omaha market.
The packing establishments at South
Omaha annually manufacture more than
$100,000,000 worth of meat products
and other commodities.
During 1914 the Union Stock Yards Co.
handled 938,817 cattle, 2,258,620 hogs,
3,113,889 sheep, 30,688 horses, a total of

ing its facilities. Together with its allied
industries more than 10,000 men are
employed.
