The elements hare appeared to be somewhat opposed to garden fetes In these part lately. Mrs. Lowrle Chllds planned an unusually attractive one for Sunday evening, but the raindrops said. "Nay, nay." However, Mrs. Chllds will give this affair in her garden this coming Sunday and Miss Edith Sloan of New York City will be the honor guest. The garden party given last evening by Mrs. John T. Stewart and Mrs, Wildman at their attractive home. The Gables, in Council Bluffs was a charming and gay affair, and for many the looked-for event of the week.
