lower, while oat were He to He lower.
The receipts at Omaha were good, but
tne demand waa only fair
Bears in wheat have depended largely
on the exportable surplus of the Argen
tine Republic to lower values and help
them In covering their short contracts at
profits, but they have been greatly dis
appointed, because of the prolonged wrt
weather In the southern hemisphere and
tne roneeouent loss in the matter ot
quality. The beet authority at Buenos
Ayres now places the exportable at.r.
plus of wheat of Arrentina at only 80.-
(10.000 bushels, with the quality greatly
impairen.
Around the top prices reached for corn
there waa heavy selling by Commission
houses and rash concerns, whieh knocked
the edge off the market. There was
some Improvement in the local Cash de
mand? at well a In the export takings,
the latter amounting to 115,000 bushels
here out of IHO.000 bushels all told.
Clearance of wheat and flour were
equal to 1.341,000 bushels; corn. 8M.009
bushels: oata, 11,000 bushels.
At Liverpool wheat closed firm; Hd
higher; corn, strong, Hd higher.
Prime wheat receipts were 674.0GO ousn
els and shipments 1,920.000 bushels, against
receipts of $i,000 bushels and shipment
of 411.000 bushels last year.
Primary corn receipts were 496,000 hush
els, and shipment 891,000 bushels, against
receipts of 414. "00 bushels and shipment
of 787,0ti bushel last year.
Primary oats receipts were 471,000 bush
els and shipments 67.onO bushels, against
receipts of 447,000 bushels and shipment
of 924.000 bushel last year.

of wheat ihowed themselve In the last
half of the session. The seaboard es
timated that the day' sails In all po
sitions aggregated more than J.o00.0fl0
bushels. Including purchase of new crop
winter wheat.
Corn manlftsted sagging tendency
most of the time, despite the rallying
power dlspleyed by wheat, and In the
fact of bullish cable and a good cash
demand. Increasing offers from the

day afternoon at the Union Stock Yard
by Peter Slgllann, hi uncle, following
Mx9an'a discharge from the Smith
Omaha police court on a charge of t.

the 9-year-old daughter of Peter Slg
llann. Maxrato was hurried to the "outb,
