lanibs flew high this morning
selling rully I.' higher than the extreme
high price paid yesterday. Trade was
a little slow at first, largely due to the
lelintanie of buyer to pay the price,
especially as it wa apparent from their
early messages that the top at Chicago
would he lower than at this pint. Still
they had to come to It, a the receipts
were not large and everyone wanted a
few good killers. When the Ice wa
once broken th tiffering were soon
snapped up at th advance noted above.
Oood Mexican lamb, both Nebraska and
Colorado fed, sold up to 110.80, the high
est price of the year to date and the
highest of any time since 1!)12, when I10 4.r
was the top. To make llll another com
parison, lambs sold within 80c. of the
highest price ever paid on this market,
which was H0.0 In 1910.
Old sheep were also Ir. good demand
and the market was fairly a tive at
prices that were fully I'lc higher than
yesterday. Ewes sold as high as IH.10,
that being the best price for tho year
to date and only imc tinder the record
price for this markot, paid in 1D10. Prac
tically everything wa cleaned up In good
shape and In good season, the market
being vrry satisfactory from start to

were steady to strong.
Cows and heifer were in about the
same condition as beef steers. Oood
kinds were strong to 10c higher, with
common canners only about steady. The
market, however, was active and pretty
much everything had changed hands In
good season. LiEht bulls are selling to
fairly good advantage, but heavy bulls
are alow, the demand of that kind being
limited.
Stoekers and feeders sold freely at
strong prices, the offerings being cleaned
