Freight Traffic is
Good to the East
Railroads having eastern connections
that reach the Atlantlo seaboard ara no
longer complaining on account of a lack
of freight business. The officials freely
assart that business moving cast, so far
as freight Is concerned, Is far In excess
of last year.
This winter the grain Is all moving
east, whereas on year ago th trend
was toward th Gulf of Mexico, exnort I
stuff being sent from the ports there.
This winter ther 1 little grain moving
south.
To th east th grain shipments dur
ing th last week have been th heaviest
that have ever been known during a like
period. It Is estimated that from Omaha
alone th grain going out for export has
amounted to more than 1,000,000 bushels
per week since early In November.
