When Arthur Brandels built his wn try noma, Arlen Lodge, near Calhoun, veverai years ago, tha plan ware mod eled aftor tha Bpanish mission house In tha "Rose of tha Rancho," a Bflaseo production which u then tn tha helgnt of Its popularity. Conditions are now rereraed and Mr. Brandels' present beau tiful summer home at Ramsey, N. J., still called Arlena, but Towers this time in stead of Lodge, was used recently as tha setting for two movie plays of Enu tlsh country life. "Tha' Wishing Ring" and Aristocracy." Arlena Towers is one of the show places la summer homes In the vicinity ef New Tor City. It 1s situated In a gactnresqu spot, with' grasny, woody gpaoes and wonderful pergolas, arbors and romantlo bowers scattered over the place. The attractive grounds, as well as l he apacioua verandas and beautiful Inter ior of tha home, appealed to an eastern , theatrical man. who asked and received I permission to stage these two movies at the Brandels home.
