Women Golfers' Election. Women aolfera of Omaha met Friday nt the Field club and held the annual meet ing and election of officer Mrs. Hriire Moffatt of the Field rlub wat elected president; Mra. William T. Hum of the Country rlub. first vice president; Mrs. i. W. Tlllson of the Field club sec ond vice president, and Mrs. L.. M. Lord of Seymour like Country club, secretary and treasurer. Several trophies were awarded Friday. Mrs. Hruce Moffatt won the Tubbs silver cup for the approaching and putting low acora for the season and Mrs. M. V. Arnold won the Tlllson trophy, a silver fern dish In the medal play contest. The players will meet next Friday at the Country rlub. Next season tne women golfers will meet on Mondays Instead of Fridays, and will play each week at their own clubs with the exception of the fourth Monday of each month, when there will be an open contest nt one of the clubs and trophies will be awarded. Well known society women will run a booth at the Ak-Har-Uen carnival (or the Vencflt of the Child Saving Institute. The nursery committee Includes about thirty prominent women, and they have decided that this would be an excellent plan to raise lunds for this home for the children. The location of the booth has not been decided, but the different women Inter ested In this charity will be there to as sist in serving coffee and sandwiches. Undoubtedly there will be a large demand tor a light luncheon by the visitors at the earnival. and It is expected that this will be a successful and popular way of ma terially assisting the Institute. , Among those In charge will be Mrs. Barton Millard. Many Omaha people etutned home this week from Kurope. Judge and Mra. Ben jamin Baker, who spent the summer abroad, returned on the Baltic and ar rived home last week after an exciting trip. Mrs. John G. Buurke and daughters, Mlases Anna and Pauline Bourke, landed Thursday In New York on the Achillea, after being abroad a year. Other travelers who returned were Mrs. C. J. Barton, who met the party In New York. Returning to College. Miaa Irnis Gross returns to the Uni versity of Oil ano Monday. She will be arrompantel by Miss Irvine and Miss Lillian Weiss, who will enter the same jnlversity. Mrs. II. C. Howe will accompany her daughter Marlon east today, to begin the latter's musical studies, either In New Ycrk or Boston. Miss Howe waa a stu dent at Miss Spence's school for two years, but decided to devote her entire time this winter to the piano. Mrs. Howe and Miss Howe had planned to go to Germany this winter.
