WEATHEK FAVORABLE TO CORN Orerabantianr of Oats In Tb.ll Con try Ulii ta Ttrne Prove m Great Weight on the Trade. OMAHA, Sept B.-There are indications that the first b g run of spring whaet will be taken care of by millers and exporter and will disappear very much the same as the early heavy run of winter wheat did two months ago. With all the heavy run to Minneapolis of late, no accumula tion of stocks arc showing up there as yet. The very bad weather on the other side cf the ocean, It is argued, will con tinue sl very liberal demand of dry wheat from this side. The shipping sales of wheat In Chicago yesterday were raised to zw.vu bushels of No. 3 hard wheat with 400.000 bushels sold at the seaboard. The. firmness In the market appears to be something a little more than the tern porary recovery from the oversold con dition Of previous days. Regardless ot these bullish features, there is a wide spread bearish feeling in the trade be cause of the large wheat production ev erywhere for the year. Cash wheat un changed to HO lower. The weather over the corn belt is favorable and It the market situation was a normal one It would be decidedly bearish, but those who are short large quantities of corn for the new crop months are alarmed over the persistent accumulation of the options, .especially for December, by strong Chicago Inter ests. They are also forced to hedge on hard spots, because there is such a wide difference between the new crop months and the September option. These are the conditions on. which traders ad vise the buying side of December corn of late and the situation Is little changed. Cash corn, hid higher to Ho lower. Helped by corn the oats futures have worked up a little occasionally, but there Is no fores Do the. advance. The over abundance of oats In this country will In time force a weight on the trade and grain men express the belief that an months will work lower. Cash oats, un changed. There seemed to be a pretty fair demand for hoes having the best quality and weighing around 200 pounds or a uttie oetter, several loads ot that de scription selling a shade higher. Two or three loads of prime light hogs brought as much as $$.60, highest price tor the day and a nickel above yesterday's top. There was absolutely no Improvement In prices for the big bulk of the packing grade and these constituted the large end of the receipts. Values were mostly steady with the general market yester day, though a few closing sales might be possibly weak to a shade lower.
