The an nual city tournament will not he held at the Field club aa has been tha custom Irj ths past, but will be given cither to the Happy Hollow, Country club or tha new Rod and Gun club, thla to bs decided upon at a mealing to be held In the near future. Tha Omaha Tennis league was per manently organised at the meeting. Thla la a new departure In Omaha tennis, and la formed purely for bettering and mak ing the game mora popular In this city. It la also hoped that by thla course sev eral new tennis sharpa will be brought to the limelight. It was decided to have from all to eight clubs In tbe league and each club to hare either four or six play ers on Its team. Ths number of players on each team will be decided at a meet ing to be held next Tuesday night at the Omaha Racquet club, when the consti tution will be drawn up and all details regarding tha leaaroe be discussed. A reg ular schedule will be adopted, a cer-wln number of games be played every Sat urday afternoon. Tbe winning team at the end of -the season will be presented with a loving cup. Harry Koch, city tennis champion, made. a survey of ths Interior of the Auditorium last Sunday and reported at ths meeting that two full eourta could be put In. He said tha lighting facilities were fins for indoor tennis. The Auditorium company asked but a nominal price for the use of tbe building and SS additional every time the lights were ' turned on. It was figured last night that twenty players each par ing from f to C could play Indoor ten nis for the next two and one-half months and thus get In good condition for start ing the tennla season off this summer In great shape. A committee of three was apmlnied to confer with ths members of tha l-ark board In an endeavor to induce them to Install tennis courts in all the city parks.
