club has sold Outfielder Beall and Utility
Player Kenworthy to the Boston American

land American league club has exercised
Its option with the Portland (Oregon) club
of the Pacific Coast league on Outfielder
"Buddy" Ryan; Pitcher Steen and Short
stop Roger Pecklnbaugh. All three will re
port next season.
The Cleveland club also has purchased
Outfielder Williams of the Omaha team
of the Western league and Catcher Mahling
of Seattle, Wash.
Williams started his nrofesstnnal ra reel
this year, having been signed by St. Louis.

ginning of the summer and has rendered
good service here. Williams has batted 27
times this year, made sixty-six hits and
