Sheep growers of northeastern Wyoming have organised themselves under Ihe lead ership of Frank Burdtok of Upton, Wyo., and will send a representative to the Omaha Land show. One of the interest ing exhiibta to be placed In the Auditorium by Mr. Burdlck will be a sheep and two lambs that he will ship from the pastures of Wyoming. The men who will be represented in the land show are not the theep "barons." as the owners of the Immense herds of the ranges are called, but the growers, who have small farms and raise a few sheep each year. It has been proven by actual test that a state can produce more actual money to the acre and Just as many sheep If each man Is a farmer and raises a few sheep, than if the land Is covered with large herds and no crops raised. Demand Permanent Tariff Commission Convention in Washington Asks for Creation of Body Analagous to Commerce Commission. WASHINGTON. Jan. 12-In recognition of the platform planka in twenty-eight states, in the recent election aa well aa what was characterized aa "th bill of the whole country," the National Tariff Com mission association closed Its session today with the unanimous adoption of a resolution demanding of congress th passage by the present session of legislation creating a permanent tariff commission, "having func tion and compensation analogous to the Interstate Commerce commission." The delegates then proceeded to the Whfte House, where President Taft addressed them. A' series of speeches were made to day. "While these things may not have driven anyone from among us," said the gover nor. "I do not apprehend that they have In any way encouraged people to locate here. There la evidence on every hund. and from almost every county that these ! bitter factional alignments have had their ! influence on business conditions of the various communities. Nothing better could come to our state than that there should be an end to these matters. .
