Several of the teachers at the high school
have either been ill for a few days or have
taken short visits. Miss Kate McHugh,
who Is head of the English department,
lias been out of town since Wednesday.
She attended a convention of the Nebraska
branch of the Women' State Federation
held at Grand Island, where she spoke at
the meeting.
Mis Stringer left for Wayne, Neb.,
Wednesday, where her father died on Tues
day night. She will probably be at Wayne
until Sunday, when she will return and
take charge of her classes

attorney upon the matter a man who has
