of the United Slates learn their true rum
ber as revealed by the offlolal count of tha
Thirteenth census. It is generally believed
that the number will be about 90,000,000, and
the census offisials are known to share jhls

About 300 of the more than 1.800 clerks
In the census office are compiling popula
tion figures only, while the others are
working on other statistics, Contrary to

Last night at the Gayety the house was
packed all evening to witntss the excellent
bill of continuous vaudeville and mori de
pictures. Maintaining his balance on a sluTk
