to he Improving. A cold caught In the
aouthxrn atnte developed Into an attack
of what la known na Florida cholera and
hla Condition atendlly gave evidence of
going backward, owing to hla rather weak
ened condition physically. It wna decided
to bring him back to Omnhn na anon aa
the weather would warrant, and Dr. Olbba,
Ihx family phyatclnn, went to Florida to
accompany the patient nnd hla wife home.
They arrived In Omnha Inat Frlday. but
lha aged mint waa not atrong enough to
throw off th ailment which had nttacked
him. Ho haa been alnklng gradually until
tha end came n atated.
Mr. Kennedy leaves, healdea hla wife,
Iwti aona and a daughter. They are
Judge Howard Kennedy, Jr., of the district
bench: A. C. Kennedy, assistant secretary
of the South Omaha Land company, and
Mre. V. tv. Urlgor.
The funeral will be held on Thursday at
S p. m., from the First Preahytxrlan church.

Ak-Sar-Ben's governors are organized for
1W5. O. W. Wattles Is the new president,
succeeding Thomas A. Fry: C. N. Robln-
I son Is the new vice president, taking the
place left by Fred Meti; H J. Penfold con
tinues as secretary' and Emi! PranJcls was
elected treasurer. President Wattles with
the assistance of some of the governors of
longer service will name the standing com
mittees for the year and there may be a
special meeting Thursday noon for their
announcement.
"Several features that look to the bet
terment of th arnlval were considered,"
said H. J. Pentoid. "We looked at samples
of souvenirs, but made no selection. The
board decided on the button for liM5 arid a
sample has been ordered which we hope
to have by next week. The ritual com
mittee reported progress satisfactory along
different lines from any we have had In
the ten years of Ak-Sr-Ben. It looks now
from what we can read and glean that It
will be the best ritual we have ever had.
Nothing remains now but good hard work
