FOR SALE REAL ESTATE
Geo. T.Morton
Geo. T. Morton, candidate for the legisla
ture. Is likely to get a large vote from
the small home owners and Individual tax
payers who benefited by the Real Estate
Exchange tax fight, when they know the
active part he took in It.
Mr. J. -N. Frenxer. who was chairman
of the finance committee in that campaign,
calls attention of some of his republican
nonpartisan friends to this matter In the
following letter:
Mr. George T. Morton, candidate for tho
legislature on the democratic ticket. Is a
young man, born and raised In this city.
He was one of the plaintiffs in the tax
litigation brought by the Real Estate ex
change against the local francblsed corpo
rations to compel them to pay their Just
share of taxes, by which more than $50,
000 taxes per year was taken off the home
owners and Individuals and placed whera it
belonged.
Mr. Morton Is one of the plaintiffs In
the suits now pending In ths state and
federal courts to compel the railroads to
pay their proper and Just share of the
city taxes on their local terminals. For
city purposes, the railroads are not paying
taxea to exceed five (5) per cent on their
actual value, while home owners and In
dividuals are paying on about 100 per cent.
I sincerely believe. Mr. Morton, If elected,
will represent the people's Interests.
In view of tha foregoing. If you csn con
sistently support him, your doing so and
speaking to your friends about him, will
be regarded as a personal favor and ap
preciated by
.Yours truly,
JOHN N. FRENZER.
