Kleewher will be found 'the figure with whleh this report will compare. Apparently the. Sep tember future la about over In Chicago and other center. There la but a littla out tandfng September wheat In Omaha and the delivery la practically superseded In in terest by the deferred futurea. Chicago traders are paying the greater part of their attention to the May future. -and hare there waa lcaa display of weakness than In any thing else. It waa noticeable that while f .rices were at times aoft there waa but lltle dlapoaltlon to force sales at the ex pense of material conceaslona In values. Armoafi selling was generally spreads from December to May' following tha Min neapolis Method of trading. The pressure of the bear continued for some time, but in th first hour of the afternoon the bears turned and endeav ored to get under cqver and the bulls made them' pay for their earner sport. The September future ranged In Chicago from '8108 to 11.06 and closed exactly where it did yesterday. December ranged between $1,074 and 81-OSH. closing at 81.08. May waa the lively future, ranging from $1.09', and tl.lOH. with a closa slightly lower than yesterday.' . ' . . Crn. under the Una weather, dropped about-a point and oats were slightly lower. CHICAGO, Sept. t.-Fearlng that th government crop bulletin to be Issued to morrow would not confirm in entirety the numerous recent damage reports, many traders disposed Of their holding of wheat tojay. Excellent weather for' the maturing of 'the crop waa perhaps the main cause of sf decline of near)v a cent In the price Of corn. Another factor bearing on the situation was the Intimation that the gov ernment report to be Issurd tomorrow would be of a bearish character. Several large commission houses were persistent sellers. The market closed almost at the lowest point. . December opened a shade higher, to Mifn4e lower, at 524fS2c, soM between 62o and 6ic and closed at CIV 61c. Local receipts were 749 cars, with 71 cars of contract grade. For a brief period at the opening the oats market showed - some firmness, but soon weakened In sympathy with other grains. During' th greater part of the day trading wa of 'ight volume. December opened a shade higher at 33o, sold off to 82 He and closed at the bottom. Local re ceipt were 174 ears.
