Omaha Team W1I Spend the Rest of
the Season Here.
Manager Rourke and the Omaha base
ball team will return Sunday night from
Bloux City and will roam no more this
season. Beginning with a double-header
Monday afternoon with the bloux City
team, the Rangers will play twenty-one
consecutive days on the Vinton street
grounds, .closing the season .September Zi
with the St. Joseph team. This arrange
ment has necessitated several changes In
the original : schedule. The Labor day
double-header, which waa to have been
played at Hloux City when the Decoration
day games were transferred here, has been
transferred back to Omaha; the games
originally schedu'od to be played at Sioux
City September 8 and 9 will he seen in
Omaha: the St. Joseph team will be seen
here from September 21 to 25. inclusive, in.
stead of vice versa, as formerly announced.

Circuit meeting at Narragansett para
closed this afternoon with tour, well con
tested races. The attendance waa tne
largest of any meeting on the circuit tills
season. .
. At the conclusion of the day's sport the
Judges suspended R. A, Smith, who was
taken from behind, Sweet -Marie In the
Roger William race of last week, for the
rest of the season. . To Alta McDonald,
who waa substituted and who eventually
won the race, was awarded the sum of
11,000, the same to be, taken from the win
nings of the mare.
The most Important racing of the day
was the 2:06 trot. Fertno. was an even
choice to win, and. won- the first heat
easily.- Boone then relinquished his seat
behind McKlnley in favor of Alta Mc
Donald, who la hot- finishes, captured the
next two heats and the race, and in the
second heat equalled the best trotting time
In a race of the year, 2:064, made by
Sweet. Marie. The time of this race estab
lishes a new heat reeord of the season
