oped by the Sioux In the eighth and ninth
Innings today won for them the first game
of. the series with Omaha by a score of
4 to 1' Kelly, second baseman, did the
business of winning the game In the last

clean two-bagger, scoring Fremer and
Fleming. Two pitchers participated in the
affair. Quick was pitching consistent ball
up to that point, but was weakening. He
bad three balls on Fremer and Brown was

Tekamah beat Herman today on the home
grounds by a sc.or of 11 to B. Batteries:
Tekamah. Rlchley and Rock: Herman,
Pipher and West. The game was interest
ing. Herman's first baseman, John Boston,
deliberately hit a Tekamah base runner
and was put out In the field by the umpire.
Before the Herman team came in to bat a
carriage drove up within a quarter of a
mile south of the grounds and Boston ran
over and got. in the carriage and made his
getaway. A warrant was Issued for him ax
rest and the sheriff is after hlrrj. . r
