MOVEMENTS ARE OF STIMULATrNG NATURE Gold Oatpat for Moatk Aggregates More Ttaaa 9211,000,000, and Is the Largest Asaennt Ever Exported. NEW YORK. May 12 -There wss a fur ther expansion in the volume of dealings In the stock market today, due to the In creased pressure to sell stocks, the weak ness being more distributed than was the ease yesterday. Much influence upon sen timent was produced by the Imposing di mensions of th gold movement. The Mjy shipments and engagements for Saturday aggregate more than 325,000,000. The largest amount of gold ever before ex ported In a full month from New York was In May, 1S94. when 827,440,000 went out. The sustained level of the foreign exchange rats makes it evident that the movement has not lost Its force and es timates vary widely as to Its limits, which have already reached over 84O,0uo,0OO since Its Inception In April. A large portion of the Panama canal payment remains to be provided for and the current outgo evidently Is to meet other requirements than the Pansma payment. For one thing It Is admitted that today's engagement is part against a subscription to th Rus alsn loan which was taken yesterday. The rebound in Consolidated Oaa on the veto of the Remsen gas bill looked like a squeeze, of shorts. Bonds were Irregu lar. Total sales par value 31,825,000. Trading was rather slow and the morning well advanced befor a clearance was made. The steer market was slow this morning for the reason that buyers did not take hold with any life and wanted to buy th few cattle on sale for les money than thev Daid vesterdav. Salesmen, on the other hand, thought they ought to get more money or steady prices at least Th more desirable grades probably sold at right around steady prices, but aside from those th market was very dull, with prlcea a shade lower. In some cases sales were made that were as much as 6i&10c lower. Owing to the lack of activity the morning was well advanced before a clearance was made in spite of the light receipts. The COW marsei was a lime mure than the trade on steers and prices held generally steady. There were compara tively few on sale and packers all seemed to need some for their Immediate trade, and a a result bought up everything at all desirable at a reasonably early hour. Com mon stuff was not very acuve, out sun ii brought Just about as much money aa was paid yesterday. , fri, m,mm n anniish change in the prlcea paid for balls, veal calves and stags to be worthy ot mention. Btockers and feeders were very scarce this morning and the demand was sufficient to bold prices generally sieuujr uu aui trades. No one was paxucuwriy enuuus rr but still about steady prices were paid for everything offered. Representative Bales! Ho. Av. Tt. Ellas Most, who halls indirectly from Russia and recently cams to Omaha from Chicago, called at the office ot the mar riage license clerk at the court house and asked for license to be married to kss own wife, who, with their two chlldrsjn, ha brought with him, not necessarily Spr publication, but as an evidence of goavt faith, or, as he expressed It, Just to show that he "had 'em." The request was so unusual In a place where unusual re quests are the rule that for a few mo ments Clerk Sundblad didn't know Just how to proceed. Then Mr.. Most explained In very much shattered English that he and his wife had been married In Russti eight ' years' ago but that she had Just come to this country to Join her husband and that they were going to San Francisco , and for the sake of "making good" and at a mild sort of celebration they wanted an other license. 80 the clerk made It out. but he got another nervous shock whsn th recipient of It said they Just wanted the li cense but didn't want to be married all over again. They thought If they had a license to sxhlblt it would prove their former marriage In Russia. This hallucination fi nally was dispelled by the marriage man and the services of - Judge Vlmonhaler were called into play and he tied the dou ble how knot, and th newly married couple ' with their two -children,' aged 7 and 4, respectively, departed upon their westward way rejoicing, . , SHRINERS GO TO SIOUX CITY Delegation from Tnngler Join t Ceremonial wltk Some of Iowa Brethren.
