With four companions he was released fr-. m Atct trns on which the officers of the prison thought to be genuine orders of release. Not until the men were well away was the fraud discovered. An Investigation bowed that the entire plot had been hatched and twrled out by the men In the prison. The men hud forged the names of the inds of the War department and also the names of Major H. L. Morrow. Judge advocate of the De partment of California, and Major J. R. Williams, assistant idjutant general. Even letterheads upon which the pardons were printed were fraudulent. CHICAGO, March 1 Becoming the sister of her own children Is the situation of Mrs. Minnie Krueger who, with her four sons, has been legally adopted by William R. A. Wodrich and his wife. This unique ar rangement resulted through the desire of Mr. and Mrs Wodrich to inako Mrs. Krueger, who had lived with thorn since she was 7 years old, their legal daughter. Mrs. Krueger, who Is a widow, is 25 years old, and hr four children, William, Paul, Arthur and John, who now become her legal brothers, are 9, 6. 4 and 1 year old respectively. Not onlv do tho children becomo brotheis of their mother, but, should she remarry,' they would la brothers-in-law to their stepfather.
