ber Session Provide ttoarters
for Assessor.
The county commissioners met yesterday
morning and called the roll, after which
they went Into a "star chamber" session.
At their session yesterday afternoon th
county commissioner formally decided to
et aside a space north of the county
clerk office for the use of Assessor Harry
D. Reed.
There Is a large apace In this section of
the court house which ha been partitioned
off into small Jury room. It Is th plan
of the commissioner to take out thesoss,.
improvised and hurriedly constructed divi
sion and thus create a large room for the
assessor. Th Jury room will be trans
ferred to th top floor of the court house,
where a largo number of unused rooms
may be utilised for that purpose.
Th commissioner also approved the
bond which had been furnished by parties
who secured contract for supplying th
county with food stuff, and other neces
sities during the year.

station on suspicion of being th man who
snatched a watch from th pocket of N.
McMullen In the alley back of a saloon st
Douglas and Eleventh streets Monday '
night.
While standing at th lunch wagon at
Twelfth and Douglas streets Monday night
N, McMullen of 2603 Valley street was In
vited by a stranger to Join him In a drink
at a nearby saloon. McMullen accepted
th Invitation and started to walk south
on Twelfth street, when th stranger
matched his watch and chain and pro
ceeded to move along the line of least
resistance with McMullen In pursuit The
Btrsnger succeeded In getting away. Mc
Mullen has had th watch thirteen years
and he think th timepiece will eventually
be returned to blm.
