N 4-6-6-7-27-28 NO ARREST FROM ELECTION Total Absence af Disorder Considered . Keaaarkafcle ky Police aad A fact considered most extraordinary by the police is the fact that not a single ar rest was made by any regular or special officer as the direct result of the election. Judge Berks, who was all smiles because of the reassurance of another term, also considered it an extraordinary fact. "It Is a singular thing," said the Judge, ''that the proportion of Omaha residents w have to deal with in this court is small compared with the Influx of undeslr able cltiaens from surrounding cities and towns who come before us." SCOURING VOIR SCALP. Will Remove the Loose DssiraC Scales, bat It Won't Car DaadrnS. It your hair is brittle and thinning, you have dandruff. The mere scouring of the scalp of the loose scales won't cure dan druff, because dandruff is nothing but scales of scalp being thrown up by a pestiferous little germ In burrowing -its way to the root of the hair, where It saps the vitality, causing falling hair and, in time baldness. Now you can't stop dandruff nor falling hair nor prevent baldness un less you destroy that germ; and the only preparation that can do it is the new scientlflo discovery, Newbro s Herplclde. In fact, no other hair preparation claims to kill the dandruff germ all of them will clean the acalp; soap-and water will do that, but only Newbro's Herplclde gets at the root of the trouble and kills the dan druff germ.. PROSECUTOR LEE TAKES THE LEAD Carl Jsasen, First Alleged Violator ' at Pnr Food Law, Comes ' ( Trial la District t'oart. "" The effort to rid the city of venders f adulterated and Impure milk assumed a new aspect yesterday when the case of the State of Nebraska against Carl Jen sea was called before Judge Estelle in the criminal division of ths district court. It is alleged that the city has been over run, with venders of Impure milk and that the parties engaged In this business nave grown bold for the reason that the numer ous cases which have been instituted In the police court against them and then appealed have never come to a trial after wards. For this reason the alleged vio lators of the law aa regards the rending of Impure milk have. It Is said, continued their nefarious business until a prosecution was d'-emed an absolute necessity.. Carl Jensen had been before the police Judge on the charge Of dealing in lmpuro milk and his case had been appealed to the district court. Upon assuming the du ties of his office as city prosecutor and after having Informed himself of the ex isting conditions relative to these rases City Prosecutor Thomas F. Lea resolved that the cases should be pushed, and the first alleged offender happened to be Carl Jensen. When it was found that the prose cution had made good Its claim that it would push the matter before the district court Mr. Jensen paid his tine of (20 and costs, and thus the first of numerous sim ilar oases to be argued before the district court was disposed of. It is expected that the trial of similar cases will occupy the district court for at least teh days. The city officials have re solved that the violators of the law regu lating the sale of milk shall be punished. About fifty old cases which had been on the appeal docket of the city prosecutor have been outlawed, as they date from 1899, but Mr. Lee has cleaned the docket up to the time of his assumption of the duties of the office and will prosecute each snd M of the appeal cases which have been made since he assumed the office.
