James Mar- An Old Man's Letter. - SMSES:??: U 1 Mr. Isaac Brock of McLennan county. Tex., has attained the greal age of 111 years. He speaks as follows of Peruna: "After a man has lived in the world as long br I have be ought to have found out a great many things by experience. 1 think I have done so. One of the things I have found out to my entire satisfaction Is the proper remedy for ailments due di rectly to the effects of the climste. Tor 111 years I hsve withstood the changeable climate of the Vnited States. During my long life I hsve known a great many reme dies for coughs, colds, catarrh and diar rhoea. I "had always supposed these af fections to be different diseases. For the last ten or fifteen years I hsve. been read ing Dr. Hartman's books and have learned from them one thing in particular, that these affections are the same and that they are properly called catarrh. As for Dr. Hartman's remedy, Peruna, 1 have found it to be the best, if not the only reliable remedy for these affections. Hon. W. V. Sullivan. Vnited States sena tor from Mississippi, In a letter recently written to Dr. Hartman, says the follow ing of Peruns as a catarrh remedy: "For some time I have been a sufferer from catarrh in its most incipient stage, so much so that I became alarmed as to my general health. But, hearing of Pe runa as a good remedy, I gave it a fuir trial and soon began to improve. Its ef fects sere distinctly beneficial, removing the annoying symptoms, and was particu larly good as a tonic." Hon. W. V. Sullivan. A Pastor's Letter. Rev. 8. H. Renfro of Norborne, Mo., had running ears. He says: "My head gathered and broke and my ears ran terribly. I had tried several remedies with no relief. Mr. Henry Wesseler, Wacousta, Mich-, writes: "About two months ago we wrote you for advice for our little girl. She was in a very bad condition then. We gave her two bottles of Peruna and a half bottle of Manalln. and she is well now, which we fee.l very thankful for. Dr. Llewellyn Jordan, medical examiner of Vnited States Treasury department, graduate of Columbia college, and who served three years at West Point, has the following to say of Peruna: "Allow me to express my gratitude to you for the benefit derived from your won derful remedy. Rundla, Sd Battery of the Wisconsin Hght artillery, wrlts from Loda, "I have nothing but pralss for Peruna. This- winter a severe oold settled In bit .kidneys, and my stomach was in such a bad catarrhal condition that I could sot eat. I lost appetite and sleep, and nothing helped me until the doctor told me to try Peruna. "That was the finest prescription' he could have given. It seemed to restore me to my usual health quicker than anything I had ever taken. In two days I had a fins arpetite, slept like a child, and felt like a man once more. Lot Angeles, Cal.. writes: "I fully believe Peruna saved my Ufa. About two years ago after returning from Alaska I was taken with catarrh of the stomach and in fact of the whole system. My stomach failed me, as nothing I ate seemed to do me any good, but alwapa gavs me pains and belching of gaa. - My kidneys got sore and weak, I had palpitation of the heart, my lungs were .sore, send It' was diffi cult to draw long Areata, u. I alas had tainting spells, and while -walking was afraid I might tall -to the sidewalk. I also had to get up at night and ait la a chair to keep from mothering. D. writes from SS7 Lincoln svenue, Chicago, 111.: "No praise bestowed upon Peruna could be, too. high. I suffered for years with a complication of troubles of the pelvic or gans from exposure in the army, and could find no relief until I tried Peruna.
